Fidelity Fun Run Series Race 2
Saturday 7:30 a.m.
Race 2 of the Fidelity Fun Run Series will be run on a two-mile loop beginning on Walkers Road near the Cayman Islands Further Education Centre, then on to South Church Street and finishing on Denham Thompson Way.
Dominic Dyer of 345 Athletics Club won the opening race, while his club mate, Tiffany Cole, was the first female finisher.
More than 180 runners hit the road for the opener last week and a similar number is expected for the second race.
Flag Football – Flow Premier League Playoffs
Saturday 1:00 p.m.
In another week, the 2016 flag football champions will be crowned but first, the semi-finals of the men’s and women’s divisions must separate the best from the rest.
Ed Bush Field in West Bay will host this weekend’s penultimate round of matches. Up first is a men’s matchup with Island Heritage Predators against Maples at 1:00 p.m. Then on the women’s side, HSM Vipers take on Anytime Fitness Wolverines at 2:00 p.m.
Burger King Panthers face Kensington Hellcats at 3:15 p.m. to face the winner of the first men’s semi-finals and then Guinness Lady Sharks play Maples Lynx at 4:40 p.m., as each seek to keep their championship hopes alive.
