Burger Shack survives battle of the undefeated

Burger Shack continued its unbeaten run in the in the Cayman Islands Flag Football Association (CIFFA) Co-ed League, edging Uncle Clem Packers in a match-up of undefeated teams in the latest round of matches.
The teams met at the Ed Bush Sports Complex on 21 April. In a hard-fought battle, Burger Shack was victorious 18-13 and kept their winning streak alive.
The winners of the remaining games were no match for the opposing teams which was evident in the final scores.
Burger King dominated their game against Dart with a score of 44-6 because of players like Garry Rutty and Yasmin James making big plays.
Popeye’s was also dominant thanks to play from Lisa Malice and Neil Clements, among others, who were outstanding in their game against Tribe Tattoo Fifty Shades. When the final whistle blew, it was 37-0.
Renee Chisholm and Rupert Whittaker from Bogle Insurance stood out throughout the game against Cayman National Bank. The game ended in an 18-6 score in favor of Bogle Insurance.

The other dominating performance came from Maples against Walkers. Standout players Denicia Cranston and Deandre Simpson of Maples were unstoppable. Maples won 28-14.
The night ended with another dominating game Kirk Freeport vs Cayman Auto. Kirk Freeport beat Cayman Auto 34-0.
CIFFA named Denicia Cranston (Maples) and Rupert Whittaker (Bogle Insurance) for winning Female and Male Player of the week.
The association noted that its Premier League is fast-approaching as it is scheduled to start in June. Players who want to join Premier League teams or want to submit their own team (female or male) are asked to contact anyone on the CIFFA board or visit the website www.ciffa.ky.
