- Updated: 18 January 2017

Cayman Athletic won comfortably over Sunset FC on Monday, 16 January, to book a spot if CIFA’s Under-15 Boys’ FA Cup Final.
The semi-final at the Annex saw both teams advancing toward goal early, with each side having a shot on goal in the opening minute.
Cayman Athletic vaulted into the lead when Gunnar Studenhofft headed one home in the 6th minute. Studenhofft and Barry Dre Tibbetts had Sunset’s defenders constantly on their heels as Athletic continued to dominate possession, but it took another 15 minutes before another goal came courtesy Elder Ferrera.
Tibbetts’ work paid off when he scored a pair in the 29th and 34th to extend the lead to four goals. Syrus Conolly added a fifth in the 35th minute as Cayman Athletic enjoyed a 5-0 lead at the half.
Shameer Seymour joined in the scoring in the 43rd minute with Athletic’s sixth and final goal.
With the game already decided, Sunset’s youngster showed heart and pressed to ensure they were not shutout in their final game of the CIFA season. Tommy Kehoe made the most of an opportunity when Cayman Athletic’s keeper failed to make a clean save and he tapped in the rebound.
Trey Wakelyn-Rivers (75th) and Aaron Jarvis (80+2) also scored for Sunset FC.
Cayman Athletic won 6-3 and will face Academy Sports Club in the final on Saturday, 28 January at the CIFA Field starting at 2:00 p.m.
