The post made on 25 September 2018, stated that Lions head coach Dave Clancy invited Westin to join the club for eight weeks “to further develop his playing time in the XVs format and improve his conditioning platform for both VII & XV.”

Westin could suit up as early as this weekend, when the Lions face the Blaze on Saturday.

Other games that he has the opportunity to make the team for are:

10/13 Home Wisconsin 1 pm
10/20 Away Indianapolis 1 pm

“On behalf of Cayman Rugby Sevens, we wish Paul has a smashing time on and off the field. Big Thanks to Dave Clancy & the Chicago Lions RFC family for growing our player development here in the Cayman Islands,” the post stated.

Established in 1964, Chicago Lions Rugby is a premier rugby club in the Midwest and have been a consistent powerhouse in the United States rugby scene for over 50 years. The Lions’ top side finished as semi-finalists in the 2017 Club National Championship tournament.
