Cayman’s team of six golfers opens their competition at the 2017 Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships on Tuesday, 1 August in the Dominican Republic, where they’ll battle for the Hoerman Cup.

Aaron Jarvis, who was the recent runner-up in the boy’s 15-and-under division at the Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships, will be the first to tee off. He is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. (6:30 a.m. in the Cayman Islands) and is grouped with Alex Raffa of the USVI and Puerto Rico’s Andres Aranguren, who beat Jarvis at the juniors in Trinidad in early July.

Next up is his brother, Andrew Jarvis, who tees off 10 minutes later. He is grouped with Beris Lynch Jr of the USVI and Brandon Bueno of Puerto Rico.

Brian Ross, who finished 10th at last year’s Hoerman Cup in the Bahamas, follows at another 10-minute interval. The other golfers in his group are Enrique Valverde of the Dominican Republic and Trinidad & Tobago’s Clint Alfred.

The third member of the grouping is Oren Butler of the Bahamas.
