Ebanks re-joins Worthing Thunder

Cayman Islands national basketballer Jorge Ebanks has re-signed with UK club Worthing Thunder for the upcoming NBL Division 1 season.
Ebanks was part of the winning play-off team last season, averaging 15.7 points and 4.9 assists a game.
“I’m excited to be back and I can’t wait to defend our crown, also excited to win more silverware,” the veteran guard said.
He had previous spells with Tees Valley Mohawks in the NBL Division 1,and in the 2016/17 season played for Solent Kestrels where he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-British NBL Division One Honourable Mention.
Previous to this he played at Hannover Korbjaeger (Regionalliga) in German league where in 11 games he averaged 8.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.8apg. He also had spells with London Lions and Cheshire Phoenix in the British Basketball League.
Ebaks received also Eurobasket.com All-British EBL Division One Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2014.
Thunder player/coach Josh Goddard said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing back Jorge for another season. He played a central role in the team last year and proved he’s a veteran who can step up to whatever demands are placed upon him, as well as being a fan favourite. I’m looking forward to having Jorge back in practice and the added energy he’ll bring to the team.”
Ebanks will make his season debut against Team Newcastle on 27 October.
