Elite, Bodden Town dominate CIFA awards

The Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) on Saturday, 2 September, held its 2017 awards to honour the top performers of last season, with Bodden Town FC and Elite SC dominating the men’s and women’s individual awards among senior players.
Bodden Town FC, which won the Cayman Premier League and the Men’s FA Cup, while being runners-up in the Men’s President’s Cup, had representatives win Coach of the Year (Elbert McLean), Defender of the Year (Andre McFarlane), Goalkeeper of the Year and Player of the Year (Ramon Sealy).
Elite Sports Club, which won the triple of titles – Women’s Premier League, Women’s FA Cup and Women’s President’s Cup – had won Coach of the Year (Martha Godet), Top Scorer (Tamoy Phillips), Defender of the Year (Tyanna Jan), and Player of the Year (Shanice Monteith).
Meantime, Cayman Athletic Sports Club, George Town Sports Club and Future Sports Club also picked up multiple individual awards.
