George Town gets back-to-back wins
- Updated: 7 November 2016

George Town SC posted its second straight win of the season on 5 November to remain unbeaten, while Future SC and Cayman Brac FC were also winners on week two of the 2016-17 CIFA First Division campaign.
George Town jumped to an early lead against Alliance FC courtesy of a 5th minute strike from Junior Welcome. Donald Solomon doubled the lead in the 16th minute, as the boys from the capital blanked Alliance 2-0 at Ed Bush Sports Complex. Alliance dropped to a 1-1 record after beating Future SC in week one.
In the earlier kickoff at the same venue, a 21st minute score from Michael Johnson was the difference as Future SC rebounded from an opening week loss to blank North Side, who amassed six goals against East End a week earlier.
At the Annex, Cayman Brac FC opened its season with a convincing 4-0 score line over Savannah Tigers. Denrick Gayle and Thomas Jackson each scored twice for the team from the sister island. Gayle found the back of the net in the 8th for the only tally of the first half. In the second, Jackson scored in the 57th. Gayle then gave Cayman Brac FC a 3-0 lead in the 87th minute before Jackson made it 4-0 two minutes later. It was the second heavy loss for Tigers, who fell 5-1 to George Town the week before.
East End United had a bye and returns to the pitch on 26 November against Future SC at 5:45 p.m. in Bodden Town. That will be followed by North Side and Future at 8:00 p.m., while George Town travels to the Brac for an 8:00 p.m. game against their hosts.
