- Updated: 18 December 2017

Young Cayman Islands golfer Justin Hastings made four birdies down the stretch to secure a second-place finish at the IMG Academy Junior World Championships – Florida Challenge on 16 December, 2017.
Hastings, 14, and his 12-year-old brother, Andy, participated in the Boys 11-14 division at the Palm Aire Country Club.
Justin shot a final round score of -3 (69). He played the final round front nine at +1 but came alive on the back nine making four birdies, which was good enough to take solo second place, five strokes behind Florida-based Yuze Zhang.
He had 10 birdies over three days, shooting 69, 75, and 69 for a total of 213 strokes at the tournament.
Andy was consistent with rounds of 83, 85 and 85, which saw him finish 35th of 38 finishers. His three-day total was 253.
They will be joined by eight other golfers from the islands to compete at the Doral/Publix Junior Classic this week. The others are: Andrew Jarvis, Aaron Jarvis, Sam McLean, Danny Lyne, Ben Lyne, James Bould, Holly Mclean, and Lauren Needham.
