A full slate of games is scheduled for the Dart Under 14 Girls’ and Dart Under 13 Boys’ high school football leagues this week: 1-2 November at venues across Grand Cayman after teams took a break for midterm.
In the girls’ league on Wednesday, Cayman International School Blue, who are top-of-the-table with nine points from their three wins in a row to start the season, meet Clifton Hunter High School at the Camana Bay Sports Complex starting at 4:15 p.m.
St Ignatius, who are second with six points, host a challenging Cayman Prep United side while third-placed Triple C meet John Gray High School and Cayman Prep City hosts Cayman International School ‘White’. These games are scheduled to start at 3:45 p.m.
Meantime, among the boys, Cayman Prep tops the standings with seven points from three games and will face Clifton Hunter High School at the Annex on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. Second-placed St Ignatius hosts John Gray High School ‘Sevens’ at the same time, while John Gray High School ‘Eights’ travel to Camana Bay to face Cayman International School at 4:15 p.m. Triple C and Cayman Academy faceoff at the CIFA Field in Prospect for a 3:45 p.m. kickoff.
Both leagues kicked-off during the first week in October and apart from the sporadic deluges encountered during the first two weeks of play, which resulted in a few unavoidable postponements, the teams have found their ‘groove’ and have played some very entertaining football.
Sponsored exclusively by Dart, the leagues have been specifically designed to assist with the development of youth football in Grand Cayman.
