Hyman one and done in Rio
- Updated: 13 August 2016
Kemar Hyman finished seventh in his heat in the 100m at the Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, 13 August with a time of 10.34 seconds. That was not not fast enough to advance to the semifinals, thus Hyman’s run at the Games is over after one race.
Hyman, the Cayman Islands national record holder in the event, ran significantly slower than his season’s best time of 10.12 seconds – 23 June in Madrid, Spain.
Among the athletes advancing to the semifinals on Sunday are: Jamaicans Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and Nickel Ashmeade; Americans Justin Gatlin and Trayvon Bromell, Canadian Andre De Grasse and Daniel Bailey of Antigua and Barbuda.
