Junior golfers to tee-off at Florida tourney

The Cayman Islands will be represented at the Doral Publix Junior Golf Classic in December.
A group of 13 of Cayman’s best junior golfers has been accepted to play in the tournament that will attract more than 600 golfers from around the world.

Holly McLean, the dominant female golfer at the 2016 Jr National Championships, is among those heading to Florida.
The tournament will be contested 17-23 December at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in South Florida.
Among those making the trip will be some of the winners from the 2016 Cayman Islands Golf Association Junior Amateur Championship sponsored by Highwater, including Holly McLean, Andy Hastings, and Danny Lyne. Also returning to Florida will be Justin Hastings, who finished second at the 29-30 October FCWT Open at Disney’s Lake Buena Vista behind fellow Cayman golfer, Aaron Jarvis.
