Latinos, BTFC win at Annex

Latinos FC picked up their first win of the season and Bodden Town FC rebounded from their only loss, as both clubs picked up three points apiece in week four action in Cayman Premier League at the Annex on Sunday.

In the early game, a brace from Leoni McKenzie Martinez was the difference as Latinos FC edged Academy SC 3-2.

Zeicko Herrera opened the scoring in the 8th minute but Jonah Ebanks pulled Academy level two minutes later. Ebanks added his second in the 29th to put Academy ahead but Martinez equalized just before the break.

The scoresheet went untouched until the 89th, when Martinez’s late goal gave Latinos FC their first win in the local top-flight since 2009.

Up next for Latinos FC is a date with Roma United at the Annex on 30 October at 4:45 p.m.
