Cayman Islands runner Pearl Morgan helped Central Methodist University women’s indoor track and field team to a top-10 finish at the 2018 Jim Green Invite in Jacksonville, Illinois on 3 February.
Morgan earned a second-place finish in the women’s 400m with a season’s best time of 59.81 seconds, just over half a second behind .51 seconds behind Lexi Yoggerst of University of Illinois at Springfield.
CMU’s women’s team finished ninth out of 17 teams competing at the meet.
Earlier in January, the sophomore from Bodden Town won the women’s 200m at the Snow Bird Open in 26.53 seconds.
Morgan and the Eagles will return to action on Friday, 9 February, for day one of the Heart Championships hosted by Doan College in Crete, Nebraska.
