Morgan ready to reclaim Island Games title
- Updated: 23 June 2017

Carl Morgan is back at another NatWest Island Games to represent the Cayman Islands and the two-time triple jump champion is looking to return home with more gold.
After winning gold medals in Isle of Wight in 2011 and Bermuda in 2013, Morgan missed out on competing in Jersey in 2015. As accomplished as he is at this meet, he knows competitors in Gotland will be gunning for him.
“I’m sure there’s going to be a target on my back and I would like to regain those titles. So, I’m very focused. I’m even more focused that I’m going to help my fellow competitor, Lemar Reid (long jump), get if not second, a medal,” Morgan said in an interview with CaymanSportsBuzz.com as the team trained at the Gutavallen sports arena Friday (23 June).

Morgan competes in the triple jump on Friday, 30 June – the last day of the games.
