North Side wins, Future still out front

North Side's Guiton King fires a shot on goal against East End United.

North Side SC edged East End United, while Future Sports Club continued their recent surge to maintain their position at the top the table in the CIFA First Division with a win over Alliance FC on 18 February.

In a match that saw two teams representing the eastern districts, the easternmost venue used this season was a fitting location, as North Side SC and East End United met at the Haig Bodden Playing Field in Bodden Town.

A second half strike from the league’s leading scorer, Guiton King, gave North Side their fourth win of the season. King scored in the 54th minute after the scores were level at the half. North Side’s Dwayne Wilson and East End’s Rico Bodden Sr scored the earlier goals in the 2-1 affair.
