President’s Cup semi-final match-ups drawn
- Updated: 26 January 2017

The draw has been made for the 2016-17 CIFA President’s Cup semi-finals, as a quartet of teams look to book their spots in the finals on Ash Wednesday.
The first semi-final sees defending league champions, Scholars International, facing Cayman Athletic and current Cayman Premier League leaders, Bodden Town FC meeting Latinos FC.
The random draw of teams advancing from the quarterfinals was done live on Radio Cayman on Thursday, 26 January and overseen by Caribbean Football Union Executive Member and Cayman Islands Football Association 2nd Vice President, Bruce Blake.
Unlike the quarterfinals, which was single elimination, the last four will play two legs to determine who moves on.
Scholars International, which outlasted Elite in a penalty shootout in December, will face Cayman Athletic, which bounced defending champions Roma United 3-0 in the last round. Their first match is 4:45 p.m. at the Annex on Sunday, 5 February. The return leg is at the same time on 19 February.
Meantime, Bodden Town, which beat Sunset 2-0 in December, will meet Latinos FC at 7:00 p.m. on 5 February at the Annex. Latinos FC, freshly promoted from the CIFA First Division beat Academy 2-0 in the quarters. The return leg between Bodden Town FC and Latinos FC will be played at the same venue at the same time on 19 February.
