Sunset FC women’s coach gets 3-game suspension
- Updated: 24 April 2018

The Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) disciplinary committee has handed down a three-game ban against Alan Purvis, the head coach of Sunset Football Club’s women’s team.
Purvis has already sat out one game and is ruled out for the rest of the season, as he’s due to miss his side’s participation in the Women’s FA Cup.
Drawing the suspension was Purvis’ refusal to leave the field of play after being sent off by the referee during a league match against Scholars International last month.
According to reports reaching CaymanSportsBuzz.com, the match was blown off with Purvis adamant he would not leave the field after disputing what he considered to be biased officiating against his team by one of the assistant referees.
