Cayman’s national men’s golf team tees off at the 2016 World Amateur Championships on Wednesday, 21 September, in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Representing Cayman are Andrew Jarvis, Payten Wight and Michael Wight. They will compete for the Eisenhower Trophy in the competition that runs until Saturday, 24 September.
They have been paired with golfers from Kenya and Croatia for the opening round. Michael Wight, will be the first of the local trio to hit the course, with Andrew Jarvis and Payten Wight set to tee off at 10-minute intervals behind him.
Each team will play 18 holes of stroke play over the four days, with the two lowest scores from each team making up the team’s score for the day.
