UPDATE: Prospect named Inter-Primary champions

In a twist of developments, the Department of Sports has confirmed that Prospect Primary School was the champion of the Inter-Primary Track and Field Championships.
At the end of the meet last Friday, Red Bay Primary was announced as the winner, much to the jubilation of students, teachers and parents on hand for the awards ceremony.
However, Director of Sports Collin Anglin said via email to members of the media on Tuesday (four days after the meet) that due to the narrow margin, a second count was conducted and confirmed that Prospect Primary had edged Red Bay for the crown, with Sir John A Cumber Primary School maintaining third place.
On Friday, the results were announced as: (1) Red Bay Primary School, 234.5 points, (2) Prospect Primary School, 233.25 points; (3) Sir John A Cumber Primary School, 218.5 points. The updated point standings show the top three as: (1) Prospect Primary School ,246.5 points; (2) Red Bay Primary School 241.5 points; (3) Sir John A Cumber Primary School 218.5 points.
