Athletes head to Mexico for NACAC U18 and U23 Championships

A team of six track and field athletes are in Mexico to represent the Cayman Islands at the 2019 NACAC U18 and U23 Championships in Querétaro, Mexico.

The team that left Monday for the 5-7 July meet is: Ava Hider (U18 1500m), Lacee Barnes (U23 shot put and discus), Shalysa Wray (U23 100m and 200m), Kashief Dawkins (U23 100m and 200m), Levi Superville (U23 1500m).

The athletes are accompanied by coach Tyrone Yen and head of delegation, Maxine Anglin.

The two-day meet brings together top athletes from North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
