Cayman Islands hurdler Rasheem Brown continued his hot-streak to start 2019, winning the 60m event and earning all-conference honours for Milligan College at the 2019 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships on 15 February.

Brown comfortably won his race in 7.96 seconds, ahead of the field and trailed home by Devante Kinlaw of Allen (8.34) and Nic Palmer of Tennessee Wesleyan (8.39). Brown had established himself as the man to beat, having clocked 8.13 seconds in the preliminaries.

“Rasheem did what he normally does in the hurdles,” said Milligan head coach, Chris Layne, of Brown, who turns 19 in March.

He was one of 13 Buffaloes to be AAC champions, following a strong indoor season in which he’s had impressive showings including a quickest time of 7.88 seconds on 19 January.
