Goals, goals, goals!

Goalkeepers were kept very busy in the latest round of the 2016/17 CIFA First Division with 24 goals being scored in three fixtures played on Saturday, 10 December.

Nearly half of the tallies came at the Annex where the ball was retrieved from the back of the net 11 times in the game between Academy SC and North Side SC.

Academy SC 2, North Side 9

Guiton King continued his amazing start to the season, picking up a hat-trick and pushing his season total to nine goals in five games, as North Side won 9-2. You read the score line correctly: 9-2!

King got the scoring going in the 13th minute and added two others (40th, 43rd) just before the end of the first half ended. Floyd McKenzie tried to keep pace with King in the First Division scoring race. His strikes in the 60th and 62nd minute pushed his season total to six, trailing only his teammate.

Quwayne Feron, Givvani Wesley, Shelldon Britings and Ronald Davis also scored for North Side. Jose La Rosa Ebanks and Jevon Forbes scored for Academy.
